Hamburg is where I grew up and where I feel at home though I have lived in France and Portugal for a while, I would say that all the places I have lived at have become my home away from home.

WHERE IS HOME FOR YOU?
HOW DID YOU START SURFING AND WHERE?
I started surfing in France where my family always used to go on vacation when I was little, after begging my parents for years to let me join a surf school, they finally agreed when I was 7, it was a bit of a slow start since I was only able to surf on vacation, but it got better when I moved to France at age 15.
WHAT IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE WAVE/SPOT?
I Would say that my favorite wave ever is a spot in Hossegor, France called la graviere. It is definitely one of the heaviest and most punchy waves I’ve ever surfed and when it’s on, it’s one of the most fun rides you could ever have, just a steep wave that allows you to do anything from powerful turns to long barrels.
SOMETHING ABOUT SURFING YOU WISH YOU KNEW 10 YEARS AGO?
I wish I would have known earlier how important the right mindset is.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE SURFING DESTINATION YOU STILL NEED TO VISIT?
Probably the Mentawai Islands, I have dreamt of going there on a boat trip since I started Surfing.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DOWNTIME IN BETWEEN SURFING?
Mostly studying and spending time with my friends.
WHAT OTHER BOARD SPORTS DO YOU DO?
I love snowboarding, although I haven’t done it in a long time.

Pizza, for sure.
